Born and raised in the country, awareness of the issues facing country people saw Summer advocating for increased accessibility to mental health services and online support as a member of a national youth advisory board. Working with St John Ambulance, she travelled extensively throughout the Midwest and Gascoyne regions to provide support to the volunteer ambulance services, a vital service for the communities.

Summer has been working with primary producers, business and community groups in rural and regional areas of WA for 24 years, specialising in assisting business owners to create financially sustainable businesses that align with their personal values. This experience and knowledge is instrumental in resolving financial difficulties within their broader context.
